  • We took the most demulcent native plant that we knew (Dog violet), powdered it, and infused it over gentle heat. What we were left with was a beautiful formula that thoroughly soothes the mucus membranes of the lips like nothing we’ve experienced before.

    We opted against using coconut oil (typically found in other lip balms), as the alkalinity of this oil tends to dry out the lips in the end.

    Instead, we used an ingredient that dates back to centuries of ancestral use: rendered tallow. Rendered tallow has the ability to penetrate the skin’s lipid barrier, unlike many plant or water based moisturizers.

  • We print our intentionally low-ink home-compostable labels with a cartridge-free printer, and the lip balm tube included is fully home-compostable as well.

    Our products will always ship with undyed compostable packaging, along with compostable packing tape.

    Any/all ingredients that are not wildcrafted are meticulously sourced organically in bulk (to prevent package waste) and only from sources that we trust. We have no problem spending an extra dime for a more premium and sustainable ingredient to supplement our products.
